About Billy Joe Martinez
Billy Joe, a native Texan, moved to Dallas in 2001 from Kingsville. He attended Texas A&I University Kingsville from 1993 until 1994, majoring in Theatre Arts. Although he did not initially pursue a career in acting, it had always been his love and passion. He instead focused his attention on advertising and marketing, which had always been one of his strengths. In March of 2003, Billy Joe dreamt that he had become a successful actor. He woke up and immediately quit his marketing job to pursue his dream.
Billy Joe has written, produced, and directed three short films. The pilot for his sitcom entitled "Neighbors," which he wrote, produced, and is directing, has been completed and is now being shopped around. He has appeared in over 18 films in his career, including "The King," "Dawn Of Twilight," "Midnight Clear," "The Wrong Hit," "Baghdad, Texas," and "Prison Break". He has also appeared in over 20 commercials, including NFL (Dallas Cowboys), Lowes, Rent-A-Center, RentBuster, Wing Stop, and Texas Lottery.
